Burn-in of the products
No piece of equipment is at its best until it has been properly burned-in. Until that moment it will only deliver a fraction of its musicality; and its inherent qualities such as its bandwidth and timbres will evolve, sometimes considerably during that period.
Here is a list of the burn-in required periods, in hours, based on the combined experience of us and our customers.
Column A represents the minimum period required before starting any kind of serious listening sessions. The longer period stated in Column B, represents the period during which improvements have been noticed.
A multitude of burn-in CDs are available. For example, we like track 9 of the XLO Test/Burn-In CD RZ-1000 which boosts the first burn-in period.
